WELCOME CLAIRE BANISTER-JONES, FACILITY MANAGER JAMIESON HOUSE

Claire Banister-Jones
A  warm welcome to Claire Banister-Jones, our new Facility Manager at Jamieson House, who commenced on 12 June. Claire comes to us with a wealth of experience as a Director of Nursing. 
Claire completed her nursing qualifications at Guy’s Hospital London and completed post graduate studies in Oncology at The Royal Marsden Hospital London. Claire completed a Bachelor of Health Management degree in 1996 and a Master’s degree in Health Management in 2005. Claire has maintained her ongoing education through a series of workshops and seminars.
Most recently, Claire was the Director of Nursing at Fitzgerald Aged Care where her responsibilities included: Managing the business and strategic aspects of a 48 bed low care facility to maintain the safety, health and wellbeing of the residents; maintaining a strong budget through accurate documentation and submission of data though ACFI to Medicare; liaising with the Board as required; ensuring that the staff performed to the highest standard through constant monitoring using the quality systems of QPS and ensuring follow-through as required, and maintaining a healthy workforce through education, communication and personal liaising on a daily basis .
Previously, Claire has held Director of Nursing roles in aged care with Uniting Care, Summit Care, and Bayview Gardens.  Prior to moving into aged care Claire was the Deputy Director of Nursing at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital.
