We are very pleased to report that the official Open Day held on 25 March for the newly upgraded Horton House was a resounding success. A collective effort by Twilight staff ensured the event attracted a large number of visitors and some huge praise.
Twilight Aged Care received very positive comments from members of the public, and dignitaries including Minister Ken Wyatt AO and the Mayoress of Gordon, Jennifer Anderson for our investment in such a high quality building amenity for the benefit of elderly residents within the community. The Minister also unveiled a commemorative bronze plaque which will hang in the home’s foyer as a memento of the event and to mark this significant chapter in Twilight Aged Care’s history.
The delicious BBQ lunch, entertainment and guided tours ensured there was a steady flow of people through the home across the day, all eager to find out more about Horton House and the work of Twilight, which we hope will ultimately result in the uptake of more places at the home and help to raise Twilight’s profile.
The day would not have been such a success without the team of staff who organised it behind the scenes and those who graciously gave up their Saturday to volunteer. I thank you all for your commitment and dedication.
