What is your new role at Twilight Aged Care?
I joined Twilight Aged Care as an Administration Officer of Corporate Services. This is a new role for the organisation and I hope I will be able to contribute to the productive running of the operations for the head office and across the facilities.
How many years of experience do you have in similar roles?
I left the packaging field in 2011 so I am going on 6 years working for not-for-profit and faith-based organisations. I first worked for a church in transforming their office to a more professional and controlled environment; then I was employed by Hunters Hill Congregation Church Retirement Village to manage the office through a period of organisational and personnel changes.
What will you bring to your new workplace?
I get a buzz out of solving problems of any kind and I like planning. For example, working out the necessary steps to get to the end result efficiently.
What is your favourite movie and/or book?
I really enjoy period dramas in book and movie format. I was introduced to Jane Austen (and Mr. Darcy!) when I moved to the UK.
Which interesting places have you lived and worked?
I was born and raised in France. I moved to the UK after university for my first job and after a few moves, eventually migrated to Australia in 2004. I feel very privileged to now be a Franco-Australian.
Do you have any hobbies, special interests or volunteer work that you enjoy?
I enjoy doing crafts and DIY. I love Australia for its ‘great outdoors’. I am very involved with my church – the Hunters Hill Congregational Church – that is on the Twilight Hunters Hill Village site and I am a long-standing volunteer with Manly Sailability which offers freedom on the water regardless of ability.
Do you have a particular work or life credo/ethic that you try to live by?
Get it right first time and find opportunities through the day for some laughter.
