Twilight House, Centenary Ball

On Friday 22nd May 2015, Twilight Aged Care celebrated the centenary of Twilight House – the name of organisation that was first talked about over 102 years ago in the rooms of the Lady Mayoress at Sydney Town Hall.

Held at Doltone House, Hyde Park, Twilight threw a masked ball for staff and friends of the Company, mirroring the “pierrot” ball that was held in April 1914 and which raised £220 towards the first Twilight Home in Mosman.

The Centenary Ball was a glamourous affair with beautiful masks and outfits, delicious food and wine and exquisite entertainment by the Chloe Charody’s Circus Opera. Chairman John Laurie praised staff and volunteers and celebrated the diversity of staff, with particular thoughts going out to the many Nepalese members of staff after the recent devastating earthquakes.

Celebrations of the Centenary will continue throughout the year with Open Days at Horton House on 19th June and Glades Bay Gardens on 20th June.  For further information contact: 02 9414 4400.
