ROOMS
Rooms are thoroughly cleaned by our staff at least once a week, with bathrooms and bins cleaned daily. Staff will ensure your room has adequate supplies of toilet paper, if you require more we can arrange for a top-up. Built-in wardrobes and kitchen cupboards are cleaned bi-annually. Family and friends are welcome to contribute with reviewing the contents of these cupboards and wardrobes outside of this schedule.
MEALS
At Twilight Aged Care we understand the importance of nutrition and diet to your lifestyle and wellbeing. Our in-house chefs provide freshly cooked, delicious, quality food for your enjoyment and dining experience, catering for all your personal, cultural, and dietary needs. Each of our homes has a four-week rotating seasonal menu which is designed in consultation with our residents and a qualified dietitian. This is regularly reviewed and tailored to individual requirements, resulting in a selection of meals to choose from for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
LAUNDRY AND LINEN SERVICE
Regular laundering of clothing and linen is taken care of by our staff, with the option of dry cleaning special/delicate items able to be arranged at an additional cost. Staff change all linen at least weekly on a roster basis. If linen changes are required between scheduled days, one of our Personal Care Assistants will ensure this is done. If you are sensitive or allergic to any laundry products, please notify us.
ACTIVITY AND LIFESTYLE PROGRAM
Each Twilight Aged Care home has an Activity and Lifestyle Program which is responsive and tailored to individual needs and interests. The program aims to contribute to holistic care and help support physical, emotional and mental wellbeing, as well as enhance cognitive skills. We also offer regular outings and excursions at all of our homes.
Activities available across our homes may include, but are not limited to:
- Tai Chi
- Zumba
- Quizzes
- Concerts
- Word games
- Sing-a-longs
- Music and Art therapy
- Dance class
- Gentle exercise
- Board and card games
- Bingo
- Birthday and National Day festivities
- Craft sessions
- Weekly bus trips and excursions
- Personalised one to one visits
A schedule of weekly activities is clearly signposted throughout our homes to ensure residents and their families are aware of what’s on each day.
We actively encourage participation in our Activity and Lifestyle Program as it can provide considerable benefits, including opportunities to meet new people and develop new interests. However, we respect residents’ wishes if they prefer not to participate in group activities.
MAINTENANCE OF HOMES
At Twilight we pride ourselves on offering well maintained homes and grounds. We have a progressive Capital and Maintenance Program to ensure we continue to update and refurbish facilities.
CONTRACTED SERVICES WE OFFER
Twilight Aged Care has arranged for external contractors to provide various additional services to residents. Residents may choose to make use of these services at their own cost. They include:
- Hair and beauty treatments
- Optometry
- Dietician
- Occupational therapy
- Speech therapy
- Radiology
For residents considered Low Care, the following services are available for an additional fee:
- Podiatry
- Physiotherapy
- Falls/mobility assessment
