Why “You’re at Home, with Twilight.”

Twilight Aged Care is different from the average aged care provider.

We are a not-for-profit service with over a century of history, deeply embedded in the North Sydney community and the early Australian feminist movement.

Originally founded in the early 1900s to protect vulnerable women, particularly those who were financially and socially at risk, Twilight Aged Care has grown from its first home in Mosman to five residential aged care homes, Glengarry at Mosman,  our women-only home Horton House at Gordon , Glades Bay Gardens at Gladesville,  Hunters Hill Village at Hunters Hill  and Grace Gardens at Dural

Today Twilight cares for over 200 women and men across Sydney’s northern suburbs,  supported by a dedicated team of more than 300 staff. Despite our growth, we remain committed to the core values and philosophy of the pioneering women who established us.

We understand how it feels to transition from living in your own home to a shared community, which is why we cultivate small, home-like environments based on our unique Twilight Family Model of Care.

Twilight offers you innovative, nurturing homes where every resident is respected, valued, and enabled to make informed choices about their care and services.

We are deeply committed to delivering the highest quality holistic care, empowering our residents to maintain their identity, independence, individuality, dignity, and overall quality of life, and creating an environment where they not only live, but thrive.

Twilight Aged Care
At Twilight, our wonderful Music and Art Therapists are always coming up with new ideas for collaborations, offering different ways for our residents to engage and participate with their creativity . During this Art and Music Therapy collaboration session residents made their own 'worry dolls'. Worry dolls are small trinket-like dolls that a person can express their worries and fears to. They can be a good way to help people express and externalise fears and anxieties. Worry dolls can be used anytime and can be taken anywhere. For a musical twist, our residents first engaged in lyric analysis at the beginning of the session. Residents looked through a variety of printed lyrics and were invited to select some phrases that resonated with them. These phrases were glued on the base of the doll thus personalising and setting the tone of the doll. Residents shared their selected lyrics and engaged in discussion reflecting on the significance of their chosen phrases. Residents then decorated their dolls, bringing them to life with their own person#TwilightAgedCareh#creativityc#twilightfamilyi#connectionc#youreathomewithtwilightt#ResidentialCaree#qualityofcarel#musictherapys#arttherapyart#agedcarelifee#agedcareaustraliae#QualityLifeStyley#fulfilledlifef#BrainHealthr#community##JoyfulMomentsf#smilen#yourenevertooolde#positiveenergyt#GraceGardensa#gracegardensduralr#fund#momentofjoyo#personcentredcaree#CreativityInActiont#creativityisagelessy#lovearts#creativityeverydayt#artr#collaborationlaboration ...
